Christchurch Metro One Day Champions, The St Albans Cricket Club, are representing Canterbury at the NZCT Club Nationals from the 5th-10th April 2016.

The NZCT National Club Championships are run by Auckland's Cornwall Cricket Club every year. The champions of each Major Association compete in a one day cricket round robin format, ending with a 1st v 2nd, 3rd v 4th and 5th v 6th match-up on Finals day at the end of the week.

Among those participating this year are BLACKCAP Ish Sodhi, Auckland halfback and SKYCITY Northern Knight Jono Hickey. SKYCITY Northern Knights Nick Kelly and Tamati Clarke; Auckland's Jeet Raval, fresh from scoring 1000 first-class runs in a season and winning the Plunket Shield, together with his Aces captain Michael Bates and former BLACKCAPS wicketkeeper Reece Young; Devon Hotel Central Stag and Ford Trophy winner Indika Senarathne, Wellington Firebirds Alecz Day, Jamie Gibson, Ili Tugaga and Fraser Colson; and SBS Bank Otago Volts Josh Finnie and Ryan Duffy.
