Cameron Fletcher to join Canterbury Cricket

Current New Zealand Cricket Winter Training Squad member Cameron Fletcher has

transferred to Canterbury Cricket for the 2014/2015 season. A former New

Zealand Under 19 player, Cameron was contracted to Northern Districts last season

but had limited opportunities with incumbent test keeper BJ Watling also in their

team.

Aged 21, Fletcher has been identified by the New Zealand Cricket selectors as an

international cricketer in the making with his inclusion in the New Zealand winter

training contracted squad.

Canterbury Director of Cricket, Gary Stead is delighted to welcome Fletcher to

Canterbury, “Cameron comes to Canterbury with some very good cricketing skills,

a high work rate and a great enthusiasm for the game. He is a quality wicket

keeper and will grow in his standing with regular opportunity and experiences. We

are excited to see how he develops in our environment”
